A native of LaGrange, GA, Dave Knight graduated from LaGrange High School in 1968 and
received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of West Georgia in 1973.
He was commissioned as Second Lieutenant at the Georgia Military Institute in 1972.
Dave has worked with Corporations and Individuals for the past 51 years in the areas of Life and
Health Insurance needs with Marsh McLennan Agency, formerly J Smith Lanier and Company.
Dave is a member of NABIPATL and currently serves on the NABIPGA Board of Directors.
He has been a recipient of the NABIP National Achievement Award. Dave served as president of
NABIPGA 1999-2000. He received Health Underwriter of the Year for the

state of Georgia in 2007.

Dave also serves the communities of Carrollton and LaGrange as a member of the Carrollton
Lion’s Club and District 18L, Chairman for Leader Dogs for the Blind. As well as the University of
West Georgia, having served on the Foundation Board of Trustees and currently serves on the
Athletic Foundation Board as the Resource Development Chair. He has received the prestigious

Melvin Jones Fellowship Award from Lion's International.
